FDP Forum / Fender Custom Shop / Fender 35th Anniversary Stratocaster Wiring Diagram?

Greetings guys... AnalogMan thought someone here might be able to help...I hope so!

I own a 35th; #26 in nearly mint condition. I recently lent the guitar to a friend of mine to play a high profile gig, and I allowed him to rewire the guitar to bypass the preamp for the gig with the understanding he would document the wiring and put the guitar back to stock before returning it. Mistake, I know. The original wiring wasn’t documented. Oops. He’s a novice electronics guy, so I fear something getting messed up if he just experiments trying to get it back to stock (perhaps fry the preamp by wiring it wrong, et cetera). Anyone out there with a wiring diagram or photos of your 35th guts? I don't need a heavy-duty re-created schematic or anything, I just need something that will show me how to get the wires back where they belong, ha! Any info would be appreciated. Cheers!

Gary,
I've recently been contacted by an old acquaintance that has asked me if I can provide him with the same information. It'd be weird if it were the same person, eh? Anyway, I'm trying to get enough info to put the drawing together for him. If I can get it done and it works I'll be glad to forward it to you as well.
Cheers,
John

Small world John; that's my guy, ha. He did mention he was in contact with you, but asked if I could still poke around for info. Thanks; I'm sure he'll be able to get it back to normal with your help! Cheers

Wow, a 20ish year old wiring diagram from memory, very cool indeed. I have two of these guitars in my collection. I love the way they play, sound, and feel. It sounds like JP has provided you the solution, but I wouldn't mind cracking open the guard on one and taking a few pictures if needed. Just shoot me an email. BTW, friends don't let friends rewire great guitars :-)

clf,
You know... if you wouldn't mind taking a photo and sending it to me, I'd be obliged. I wouldn't mind double checkin' my brain!
Thanks!

I hear you clf, ha. I've only known a couple folks with 35th guitars; one rewired it from the start and the other just sold his a few months back. I greatly appreciate your memory John :) I received a voice message earlier today that says the guitar has been rewired from the diagram you sent and that everything works perfectly... Excellent. I'm very familiar with the guitar's sound and function, so I look forward to getting it back and confirming everything. Cheers!

No volume control in passive mode, that´s the original wiring.
