MIM Jazz Bass. I bought it in a combo deal with an amp and had a real hard time getting right with it. Thought about selling it several times.

Then I decided to strip it down completely, check the neck pocket, wiring, everything. I put it back together with a better looking PG and 9120 strings, took extra time to set it up just for me, and have loved it since.

The whole rig actually; when I first got sick and the dark days were on me, I didn't play for about eighteen months and came very close to just selling it all.

@Dadical - Our MIM 5 string (that red one) took a while to get settled in. No tension on the truss rod when we got it, brand new. After about a year of progressive adjustments it was great, and it's not going anywhere.

Fender '63 Vibroverb RI. It ended up being my primary amp for live work with the band in joined in the fall of 2010.

Prior to that, it didn't get much use.

My Kritz dh111t. It's a guitar made by a now-defunct Belgian builder. Kind of a strat-shaped slab with three pickups in the style of a tele bridge pickup. Lots of technological innovations, too, like a carbon-fiber neck with a wooden core and a wood veneer.

I was going to sell the guitar some years back because I didn't have an interest in the single-coil sound. Mrs. TDD talked me out of the sale because the guitar has some stories (really of interest only to us, but still...)

I've started playing the Kritz much more, lately. I'm glad I still have it.

There are a few other little accessories and such that don't get much use, but are handy to have around once in a while. I don't sell those mainly because they don't take up much space and wouldn't fetch much in a sale. I'm glad to have them on hand for the rare occasions when they fill a need.

My Ampeg Scrambler Fuzz. Seemed too weird to use live, but once I took it out for a show, it's become the only fuzz I'll have on my pedalboard.

Two late 90s MIM Teles. Came too close on both. I have an Am deluxe Tele so why keep these? Cause frankly I play them more and like the different tones (Fralins on board) and also like vintage frets. Now considering changes to the Deluxe or swapping for a different tele - he and I just never bonded.

There was a time about 10 years ago I came thisclose to selling the Rickenbacker 330 that I bought brand new in 1984. I saved up for several months to buy that guitar and it was my only instrument during many lean years. A lot of happy memories are associated with that guitar.

I actually had an "anxiety" dream about that guitar and, when I woke up, I realized I couldn't sell it. Good thing too because it has since reestablished itself as my favorite.

Heck, I would even say it is my most prized possession now. I would be heart broken today if I didn't have it.
