I spent a couple of fun hours playing some beautiful instruments at Gryphon Stringed Instruments in Palo Alto, CA yesterday. Definitely my favorite acoustic guitar store on the planet.

After sifting through a bunch of beautiful instruments made by Collings, Martin, H&D, Taylor, Santa Cruz, and the like, I made my way to the consignment wall where I found the linked 1967 Guild D-35 made in 1967.

Whoa...

Without a doubt, the best sounding guitar in the store for MY ear!

Only problem is, the price is way out there at $1495, even for this guitar. Unfortunately, the owner won't take less and you have to add 10% sales tax to the price.

SO... I backed away. But maybe someone else out there might be interested at this price. The guitar just sounds incredible!

I had an afternoon of Jammin with Hankhill and Geetar37 at a local Cajun joint this past Sunday. We all were playing Guilds and each had it's own voice. Mine suked because I was playing it but it was way cool.
