I picked up a Deluxe American Strat H/S/S with the S1 Swithing system and it also has a blower switch. I have found that I never use the S1 system and I only like the bridge humbucker when the blower button is on which takes out the volume control. Can I wire the pickup to get the same sound as when the blower is on if i just bypass the tone control? I probably will however swap the bridge bucker out though but I kinda dig the 2 singles in there which are noiseless. I know they don't sound like vintage singles but I don't care.

What's a blower switch? Does it have a fan :-)
Sorry, no help.

It's actually called a "Passing Lane Switch". It instantly routes your signal from any pickup position to the bridge position with the tone circuit bypassed.

Do people do their research before buying Guitars? Why spend the money on an AmDlx HSS to find out you don't like it?
This seems common on the FDP- buy expensive guitar, not happy, spend time and money modding.
Why not learn to use the guitar features to your best advantage in conjunction with the rest of your gear. Your may be surprised at what you can get out of it and it will be satisfying.
(this post isn't specifically aimed at you danyeo, it just amazes me that so much money is spent and there is an unwillingness to explore all possibilities with the instrument- the exception being those who research, buy a guitar for particular features and mod because no guitar has the exact specifications they require).
Anyway...

Thanks Modal, you probably can Danyeo though the S1 is a little more complicated wire wise than a standard Strat and I'm not sure off hand how you'd accomplish a bypass with a tone control unless maybe you turn it into a blend knob?
So does the new Deluxe come with this blower switch or has it been added?
I had a Deluxe SSS and a Deluxe Hss, I seldom used S1 on the Hss but use it a lot on the SSS. With the HSS having higher out put singles and a bucker already it just didn't seem necessary. I use my S1 almost as much as I use my pick up selector.
Cheers

I have a HSS and SSS Strat with S1. I use the switch all the time when playing both guitars. I love to make the most of what the guitars have offer.
