Just got notification--I will let you know how it sounds--I have no stand alone speaker cabs--I do have a twin reverb with cali`s and a Victoria with 2x10`s.
Also have a pair of Mackie passive pa speakers I will try it through.

When mine arrives ("in the year 2525...") I'll also be running it through the 2x10 set-up in a combo I have with two Reverend All-Tone speakers in it.

Really? So you've played one?

Ask Tim Lerch if he thinks it's a paper weight.

No, I haven't, but I guess I am skeptical about how many snake oil tone chases I have been on.

The OP is very different from me.

I get a new pedal it takes about 2 minutes to have it hooked up and in 30 minutes I have a good idea of what I think.

Funnily enough the more I've spent the sooner they become "paper weights".
I'm also guessing that 2 years from now Tim Lerch will be on the tube pushing something else.

I've been watching Tim Lerch's viddies for some time now. He has a tone in mind; probably why he's more or less stuck to the tele-fat clean to medium gain formula for his personal jazz/blues style. Seems like he's found what he's looking for with the Ethos pedal and amp.

As with any other "flavor of the moment," it could go either way. In 2 years the naysayers could just as likely be giving themselves a dope slap wondering why they waited so long to check one out.

I can absolutely assure you that with a $600 price tag and more than a year wait, I will not be giving myself a dope slap for not trying one.

No chance.

Hope it works well for those of you who've ordered one, though.
