Man, the Rangers are doing well, considering they have so much trouble scoring goals. Again, a defenseman comes up to make an offensive play. Let's Go Rangas!

Is it just me or did the Rangers get a litle lucky last night? I thought the Devils outplayed them for the most part.

I thought they actually were more "clutch" than "good", if that makes any sense. I felt they had some offense for a change.

LA is going to the finals! Did anyone see Doan's interview after the game. He was livid about the officiating. I gotta agree with him somewhat. They let all kinds of stuff go, then call a penalty no worse than what they just let go.

There was a late hit on one guy... a knee on knee... No call. As one commentator put it... just because the refs wear the same colour as the Kings does not mean that they have to play for them too.
These poor performances by officials are too common... makes one think that the guy who wrote the book about “the fix” in pro sports could be onto something.
I lost interest in all pro sports a long time ago.

Funny, the Rangers have great defense, shot blocking, forechecking, but not much finesse scoring, and the latter is important. Man, a strange team.

Last night's Devils-Rangers game was one of the worst played games I have ever seen.
One of the Devils goals should not have counted (and I'm a Devils fan) because of a missed penalty call. One of the Rangers goals was kicked in. Another Rangers goal was Brodeur pulling himself out of position. Another Rangers goal Brodeur stepped on the puck and knocked it in himself.
The Devils came out running like crazy and scored 3 goals on 4 shots, and then crapped the bed for almost the rest of the game, until Carter scored the eventual winner.
Like there isn't enough stress in watching your team face off against its hometown(ish) rival in the Conference finals, they have to play like that? I don't ever remember being as relieved that a game was over as I was last night.
And we get to do it again on Friday.

Being a Rangers fan, and liking good defense, I am still perplexed with the team. If they still had Jagr, it would be great. I mean,
Ryan McDonagh is such a great player, but his huge amount of ice time and great play stopping goals is amazing, but someone on the team has to become an offensive threat, and quick.

It's official, the Rangers can't put a puck in the ocean if they were standing on the dock.

Okay, they got a couple, but they are still not much of an offensive threat....

LA wins game 1. I missed the first two periods, but I thought the 3rd and OT were pretty good hockey. Brodeur was awesome in the 3rd. Some of the saves he made proved that he is still a true warrior when the game is on the line.
LA's habit of passing up the middle when they break out is gonna burn them real quick. Almost happened a couple times in the 3rd.

I feel sorry for Brodeur. 40 years old & he's playing like a 25 year old, but his team is just not quite good enough. LA is just smothering them offensively, and whatever shots they do get are at that brick wall named Quick
