I'm going on 7 years with mine. After 3 or 4 years, I swapped the pups out for '57 Classics. Feels, plays and sounds better than my old 335 with the Ibanez large frets.

Definitely thinking about a pup swap in the near future as my next guitar expense. Just don't know what I want it to sound like.

Seth Lovers or Parson St from Stew-Mac
would be my first two choices
I have Duncan 59's and Lollar Imperials in my Epi Dots and they both sound great. Clarity, clean, crisp. Two other good choices

Re: my post #2 in this thread - I put Seth Lovers in mine. I later replaced the whole wiring harness with a pre-fab unit from Mojo.
Be sure to request a little extra length for the output jack lead if you order a harness. Jack is on the edge of the body instead of on the front like a 335.

I've had mine for more than 7 yrs. The only thing I've done is replace the bridge assembly with one of the Graph-Tech Resomax systems, and adjusted the pickups (used the Kalamazoo settings trick)still has the stock pups and wiring. Plays and sounds great.
It has become my #1 for the current project that I'm in. We are doing mid 60's to mid 70's rock, and it just works!

I was searching for videos of the AS73 and ran across this one. I was very impressed by the tone and the dude's chops are terrific!

I have an AS-73 and now I'm wondering what the "Kalamazoo settings trick" is. Paging lowgear...paging lowgear.

I wish I still had my Heritage. I sold it in a moment of stupidity. The one thing about it that I would've changed was the Schaller roller system. It would never stay in-tune.

I must be getting soft. I could've bought a brand new one on eBay for $399 with free shipping. I let it go.
