Ok - I just cannot live with the saddles on my 60th Tele - too painful on the hand!

Where can I get a set of standard type saddles with the screw in the middle?

Help!

If the problem is the adjustment screws sticking up too far, there is a solution to that.

You can trim the bottom end of those screws so that they sit flush (or very close to it) when adjusted.
My local tech has done this on a couple of my Strats.

Just a thought before you start making mods to your brand new guitar.

Good suggestion by MLC, you could try to find shorter height adjustment screws.

I don't think they will match the bridge. You'll need the offset screws.

Tried the new Tele at two consecutive gigs and the saddles will have to go! Iv ordered a new set of American Standard type that were standard on previous USA models - why did fender change the saddles? The new stamped things are just not right - they may look nice but they are not good when it comes to all-out assault in a live situ - why do fender (and other makers) do this? Why change something when it's already right? I mean, we are talking about a £1200 piece of kit - drives me nuts!

There has been a bit of criticism that the new chunky saddles took away from the tele twang. I had assumed that Fender thought it could not go back to the original bar bridge, although it does on some models, and so went for the individual stamped saddles. Perhaps a question for Fender?
