I stopped doing the flat to roundwound swapovers due to the damage done to the strings. I figured it's just easier all round to have a J or P with flats and another with rounds set up fulltime. Any excuse to buy another instrument too!!

Nash Bass,
What's a "CK hard pick"? I'm unfamiliar with the name, and a google search just points me to your website.

Ok, I used my Jazz bass with TI Jazz Flats today at practice with my new Genz Benz Streamliner 600 and an old Acoustic 2x15 cab with Electrovoice bass speakers and everyone loved the tone I was getting. I think I have found the final type string for my Jazz bass.

The only time I ever changed them, I simply ran a foam mute for a few hours of playing time.... got rid of that odd overtone they have when new. This on a 65 P bass.
When I first got into them, I didn't know they lasted so long, so I ordered a big load of them. Now that the prices have soared, I'm glad I did. Even running 2 or 3 basses actively at a time, I think I have strings for life.

I wished I had bought a few when I could get them for about $30
