I dunno, but over on the Bossarea.com, they are saying D'Addario is now making Fender's strings. I just bough a CP Jag and the strings had the colored ball ends like D'Addario, so I suspect that the rumor is true.

I thought Fender Bullets were made by Fender Squire. They were are not as high quality as D'Addario. The colored ends is a distinction of D'addario. What does this mean,a higher price for the Fender Name on the package?

D'Addario make Fender strings (I assume to Fender specifications rather than just repackaged D'Addarios). It was covered in another thread a few months back and one of the Fender people posted confirmation on another forum, so I'm sure you'll find that online somewhere too. The color coding is similar to what D'Addario do but the colors are different and named after vintage Fender custom colors.

I don't know but they suck. Sorry Fender, I love your guitars and amps, but the strings? Not so much.

To each his own! I actually like Fender strings ...particularly the pure nickel. Tried the GHS,Nickel Rockers, DR's Pure Blues, EB's and thought that the Fenders ( and I guess Daddario too) sound brighter longer than the others I fell for the hype on the Cobalts and thought they were the worst. So it is all about personal tastes...like guitars!

Yep! I was EB for many years, had a brief spell with Fender ten or twelve years ago and then went back to EB. I love the feel of the Cobalts but prefer the tone of the normal slinkys. It is all about personal taste, no right or wrong.

10 or twelve years ago I am pretty sure Fender strings were made in Mexico. I have a set of Fender 150R's that I bought from a flea market and the package says MIM...I doubt these were DAddarios then but I am not sure. I thought all DAddarios were made in Long Island NY

As I understand it, Fender were manufacturing in Mexico and then decided to stop and have them made by D'Addario instead (possibly in 2010, but I don't know when).
