My 57 AVRI Strat has Noiseless Vintage Pickups on it..But has been producing this scratchy static sound which is definitely Not 60 cycle hum.. i play it through a handbuilt AC-30 clone..I have carpet in the room where I play and no air conditioning and it's been quite humid lately here in West Virginia..I stuffed the controls and pickups with dryer sheets when I changed the strings last night..Still there..So I took it to my tech at our local music store..We played it for a solid half hour and it was quiet as a funeral home..The funny thing is also when I run the same guitar through my inexpensive (relatively) Peavey Classic 30 it's real quiet..I'm lost..My tech asked me to try to get the schematic for my handbuilt so he can look at it..So I'm going to do that..But anyone have any other thoughts..?
