I have owned a few Stratocasters over the years, but got away from them in the 90's and started to think they were cheap, and not very well made..About 10 years ago, I decided to get back into playing music, and I bought a Heritage 535 which is a great guitar, then I got a butterscotch maple necked G&L ASAT Classic..Dynamite!! But then I picked up a used 57 AVRI Strat with original case for about half of what a new one costs..I popped some Vintage Noiseless Pickups in it, and now it's my go to gig guitar..Action is like buttah, Tone is sweet and chimey..Amazing!! Who'd a THUNK IT?!!

Like cars, kitchen knives, and wimmins...there are good guitars and bad guitars. You just have to be patient and not compromise TOO much.
