I just got a 91 USA Strat in Midnight wine and it has the swimming pool rout ...is that a stock color and did the 1991 strats have a swimming pool rout ...whether or not I keep this guitar depends a lot on this info ....

i have a '91 strat in gun metal blue and the body has swimming pool route. i can't speak for the midnight wine color though.

Yeah, a 91 would have the swimming-pool rout.
I have an 88, also in gunmetal blue, and it's the best-sounding Strat I've ever played.

Thanks ....I do appreciate the help it was supposed to be original except for the pickguard needless to say someone did a sloppy job soldering ...also should it have the two point trem ??? ..it looks right ...

It should have a two-point trem AFAIK.
On a similar note, I saw an '88 or '89 American Standard in Graffiti Yellow today. Sweet color and guitar. I hope you enjoy your new one!
