Hi!

I would like to know what are the 62 AVRI neck thickness measurements at first, sixth or seventh and twelfth frets - not including the fret ?

For reference, I ask 'cause I'm searching what Fender strat would have a neck similar to the Squier Classic Vibe 60 strat and it seems that the 62 AVRI would be the closest. That would be cool given I always wanted one !

Thanks for your input!

Oh that's great ! Thanks the V. Found a lot of infos there and other links too. Great thread indeed.

Two different depth measurements I noticed:
According to the Fender CS, ( see link) early '60s strat [ I hope the '62 AVRI should fall in this categorie] the numbers from the 1st to the 12th fret are .790 to .930 and is labelled "oval C"

According to another source from this link, 60's necks are .820 to .960.

I hope the 62 AVRI is more like the custom shop measurements given my not very large hand, not very long fingers.

This document from the fender cs helps a lot.

I have a 62 avri, but unfortunately I don't have the means to measure the neck thickness accurately. However, I too have small hands and 'not very long fingers,' and I can confirm that the neck is very slim, in fact the slimmest I have ever found on any strat, and is absolutely perfect for me.

It's time to get it!

Thanks elkay . A slim neck on the '62 AVRI is good news to me!
