A beat up one on CL for cheap... a check with some overtime... dangerous combination eh?
It had a serious neck repair, but seems OK. Some serious cosmetic issues, but I don't mind, and if I did want to refinish it... I think it would be a fun project and even have some ideas... (or I might just live with the visible cracks and gouges.
Plays and sounds great... doing a complete tear down/clean/rebuild/setup right now. Taking a break. (once again, Erlewine's books prove useful... this is my first Bigsby in fact).
The 'Tron-y Duncan Designed pickups are pretty cool actually, played with pickup height a bit to dial them into my taste. Sounded great.
Going to see how she likes my usual nickle 11's.
I have plenty of caffeine on tap, a 5150 combo and Marshall JTM 30 warmed up, and the closest neighbors are out of town for the weekend... I predict a late, loud, fun night ahead...

I tried the "Vintage Blue" version of that guitar in a local shop.
The switches were all wonky and the neck pickup output was significantly lower than the others, but I was pretty sure that was due to the flakey switches. Even with all that, I thought it was REALLY cool guitar and I was ready to take it home.
I figured I'd fix it myself, but they wouldn't budge on the price, so I walked away. They still haven't fixed the switches and the guitar is still hanging there, months later.
Congrats and good luck with the "restoration"!!

Sometimes a sick little reject of a guitar can become a real player with some TLC.
Thank you for rescuing this orphan tonestick.

Fun! I liked the sound of one I played at GC, but it was too heavy for me
