Saw one online and have a little GAS for it. Anyone have experience with it? Thanks.

I like mine a lot. Needed new pickups to wake it up though.

Great playing! And behind the head too! What kind of pickups did you install?

Thanks! They're nothing fancy - just a set of GFS. The original pickups came in at like 12k on the multimeter - WAY too crazy for a P90 which should be around 7.5 to 9k at the most. The GFS gave the guitar a lot more sensitivity. I also put in a push-pull for phase reversal which is what you hear on this clip.

I'm with you Itchy. I prefer a pickup in that range also. I tend to like Alnico II magnets but have a set of Reverend P90's with Ceramic coil that sound super. Just wish the guitar was super ;)

Here's an odd fact: there have been 3 different variants.
Epsilon logo Bigsby-style tremolo, staggered control knobs.
Bigsby logo tremolo, staggered knobs
Bigsby logo tremolo, knobs pulled "even" with each other.
Mine is the second variant. It was made in the Peerless factory. Not sure how many Korean plants made them.

Man, you totally nailed the vibe in that clip - the sound, too to my ears. When I see a 295 that's exactly what I imagine it doing.

I got one and had Fralin P 90's installed. It's the bees knees and has rendered any need for a Gretsch null and void.

Thanks Dadical, I consider that high praise from that source. ;-)
I have given some occasionally serious consideration to picking up an Epi ES175 and converting it to P90's with an eBay pickguard, making a mockup of a rare burst ES295 (they made a few back in the day)
