Hi folks,
I have a Nikon D40 with a couple of lenses that I bought on clearance a couple of years ago for an astounding deal.
I've seen a bundle on a Canon EOS Rebel T3 that is quite a good deal, making it almost a wash if I sell my Nikon on eBay and purchase the new Canon.
Both are fairly entry-level DSLRs. Would you make that deal?
I should note that I usually leave the Nikon home and grab my Canon G12, which is astoundingly good for my purposes. Thanks in advance...

I wouldn't, but then I'm a Nikon geek. Both cameras will take great photos, so there probably isn't any real gain to be made by a swap. However, if you are more comfortable using the Canon, go ahead and do the deal.

Betcha you would do the same thing with the Rebel. I would sell the D40 and lenses and hang onto the money for something else down the line. No need to hurry since you are covered with the G12.
I would take the money and buy recording gear.
Good luck!

Thanks, folks. Keeping the D40, maybe selling it at a later date. I'll see how the G12 works out!

The G12 should do well. I've not heard anything bad about that line of cameras yet. Good luck with it.
And remember, that D40 can use about every Nikkor lens dating all the way back to 1959. So you have a lot of choices when it comes to Glass.
