The 2012 MIA Strat is equipped with CS Fat 50's pickups. The clarity and character that these pickups offer defy a verbal description. I'm blown away. Plus, the noise level isn't bad at all even with overdrive or distortion.
My 2004 MIA Strat is equipped with Hot Noiseless pickups and my 2010 MIA Strat is equipped with Dimarzio pickups. Compared to the CS 50's, they sound compressed and bland. I'll probably end up with replacing them with true SC pickups.

What Dimarzios do you have? I've been back and forth between Dimarzio noiseless and various boutique single coils for a few years, but a few months ago I switched to Area 67s in the neck and middle position, and I am well pleased. I'd had Area 58's and 61's before, and they weren't quite there, but the 67's are extremely convincing. My last pickups were Bare Knuckle Mother's Milks, and I don't really feel like I've lost anything except noise.
I'd really like to try a new American Std with the Fat 50's though.
