I'm in search for the US made Precision 62 reissue pickup, but my searches result in one product with the part number 099-2046-000, appearing as a "62 reissue" in some lists, but as the "stock" USA P-Bass pickup on others...
The writing on the box of 099-2046-000 "Original Precision Bass Pickup Set" - and looks like this:

A few years back, I purchased a Precision 62 reissue pickup which came in a different box that said "Original 62 P-Bass Pickup" on it, and looked this this:

So, is part number 099-2046-000 with the new box contains a 62 reissue pickup or a standard precision pickup ?... I really want that "old" one, it sounded really great.

From what I understand, it's the same. I just purchased one a few months back and I was confused as well. If it has cloth wiring and the ground plate, I think you're good. It says on the box that it is original equipment on "American Vintage series and many Custom Shop Basses". Mine is the same part no. 099-2046-000. I replaced the pickup in my Classic 50s P Bass with this. It sounds good, but the MIM stock pickup sounded pretty close to me.

But, is it the same pickup which used to be sold in the older "Original 62 P-Bass Pickup" package ?
