I kind of like the 3T burst. They are nice looking.

A little bit darker neck and Bigsby I'd be drooling.

"Fidel-i-tron" pickups?

Why didn't Fender just go all the way and name this a "Tele-Castro?" I think they've become commie pinko sympathizers. Yes! Shell Pinko! Si si mooy byen grassyass!

Do you think Fender could have been any less adventurous with those color choices?

When I first read about it I was pissed, as I just assembled my own Cabronita at about the same cost.

BUT, I got my choice of color (sonic blue), a one pickup model which is what I wanted, and a real TV Jones pickup with a Fender Greasebucket tone circuit.

in the end, I think I went the right way. Had I known these were coming, however, I may not have done it.

One pup models would sure be cool, but Fender may still feel burned by those single pickup Stratosonic models that didn't sell at all.

I usually hate the boring typical color offerings, but on this guitar I think black and white blonde look killer.

I actually owned one of those Stratosonics once, I have always regretted selling it, it was pretty cool.

I just saw there is also a new MIM Paisley Tele coming out (black with gray/silver, it appears). Looks pretty cool. Matching Strat too.

These Cabronitas from Mexico are so cool.
I'd like to try one.
While the above link to Fender lists the pickups as Fidelitrons; the Musicians Friend listing calls them T.V. Jones Filtertrons.
Which is correct?
M.F. has them all listed at 699 with a tolex case while the Fender site's list price is 799 for black and burst and 899 for the white blonde.

Interesting. I wonder if the pickups are made by TV Jones for Fender, or if MF has a special run exclusive.

Pretty obvious from the ”Tele-bration” language that its just a mistake. They just re-used the description from the MIA ”Tele-bration” model.

But order one and when it comes without the case, maybe you can argue they owe you one.

Edit: All 3 pics show 22 frets which is the same as the 2011 MIA model. The specs and description list 21 frets.

Sweetwater has pics of guitars from their actual stock and they're all 22 fret necks.

No availability in Europe yet, but I'll be all over this when they arrive. I wanted a Tele-Sonic but had absolutely no money when they were making them, and they are very hard to find second hand in Europe. The La Cab looked like a great alternative, but the prices were too high.

This will have a Bigsby B5 and space-bridge added to it quicker than you can say "Gretschy Tele". No way I would have done that to a two-grand guitar, but at these prices...

The MF description previously said that a hard-shell case was included; now it does not say that. Anybody know what's right??

Another online retailer (PGS) is showing pics of all 3 models with Fender's Deluxe gig bag.

Buck, I think that originally they copied the description straight from the CS La Cabronita Especial. I'm assuming ScottB is right and it will come with a bag like the other nicer MIM models.

Colors would be nice. There are a lot of MIM guitars that come in the cool classic custom colors. If these came in surf green, shell pink or fiesta red, I'd be all over it. Black? Sunburst? Boring!
