Adorama has a 40% off code so I bit. I've wanted to see one of these ever since I first saw them so for a little less than $40 I should have an 11x14 delivered in a week or so. I don't do prints too often, but I'm really hoping this one turns out well.

Never heard of metal printing before, sounds cool, let us know how it compares to normal quality prints :)

Check out Mpix.com if you want to learn more about the process. They may even be more competitive than Adorama, Don't know. 40% off is mighty compelling, for sure!

I usually use Mpix and probably will continue to do so. I haven't seen anywhere on their site that indicates that they do these prints though. The only thing I see (and have used) is the metallic paper that they offer.

I've heard decent reviews of Adorama's print service, but so far I'm unimpressed. My order was estimated to be received by the 18th, it just shipped today. That alone wouldn't bother me too much, but I sent two emails regarding the status and neither were answered.

Print arrived today. Looks like it was printed on glass, but to be honest I'm not just blown away with it. Think I'd just as rather have the metallic paper from Mpix and save about 95%.

Maybe someday when I'm retired and rich (oxymoron right there), I'll buy me one of

these.
