Are there some pickups to consider that would get me close to the clear tone of the Fralin Vintage tele pickups I use but in humbucker size? I have a guitar I built that has the humbucker routes but I realize I am not a huge humbucker guy---

Try a Filterton-style pickup.
TV Jones has HB-sized versions, if you want spend top-dollar for the "real deal."
GFS has some well-reviewed versions of their own that are at the other end of the cost scale.

You know, the great thing about Fralin is that he's still alive, and you can call him up and ask him questions.

TV Jones. Available as single coil and as hot or mild as you want them.

Guitar Fetish, for one place, will also sell you an adapter plate so that you can fit an actual Fender style single coil in a standard humbucker mount.

Now that is a cool idea Frank--- for the bridge I would not mind actually just installing a tele bridge---

Filter tron style and P-90 in humbucker size are both good options.
I wouldn't call them dead ringers for a tele pickup, but in terms of what sorts of things you can use them for, they are really close.
Also, PAF style can be quite nice if you go as close to vintage style as possible. Good replicas almost sound more like single coils than what we think of a "humbucker" sound, which is a tad bit ironic since the PAF was the genesis of modern humbuckers. If you don't like most humbuckers out there, you may find that you warm up nicely to something that does the vintage thing pretty well.

A Seymour Duncan JB splits nicely (either to single coil or parallel wiring) into a decent Tele tone.
You might also check out the DiMarzio Eric Johnson humbuckers; low output with a nice high end that would be close in a solidbody guitar.
A good P-90 with a set of 500K pots can also get close (if you don't have to worry about noise).
