Anybody have one yet? Got one from GC last week. Waiting for trem arm and owner's manual (they lost them). It has a weird "adjusto-matic" bridge. I can't get the saddles or the knurled wheels to move when the strings are on and in tune. How is this thing supposed to work? I have a feeling the trem won't work well with this bridge.

Mustang trem works fine with a TOM, i have one on my '69RI MIJ Mustang.

It works like any other Tuneomatic for any guitar it's on.

Did production of the Cobain Mustang move from Japan to Mexico? If so, what year? Is there any way to verify which country one of these was made in?

I just received my Fiesta Red KC Mustang from Guitar Center. I took a chance and ordered it online, which I rarely do, because I don't see these in my area very often and I have been gassin' for a Stang. I got it used with a Fender hardshell case for only $650! These normally go for $999 new without even a gig bag. It is in excellent condition, with only some very light buckle rash on the back of the body that could easily be buffed out. It is marked, "Made in Japan", but not sure if the new ones are still made there. The Fender web site does not list Country of Origin. First impression is that I prefer the sound of my MIM CP Jaguar HH, which, other than the PUPS, has almost identical specs as the MIJ Mustang; e.g., identical scale lenght, Adjustomatic Bridge and tone woods. The 7.25" fingerboard radius will take some getting used to since I have not owned a guitar with a vintage spec radius since the early 80's, but I think I will eventually adjust to it.
