I recently started playing rockabilly. I'm using a Fender Tele right now but I'm looking round for a HB with P-90s. I'll need something well built that can handle gigging regularly. My dream guitar is a Gibson ES-295 but at close to $3k it's out of my price range at this time.

Any one using an Epiphone ES-295? Wondering what the quality is like? I supposed I can swap out the Asian PUs for some genuine Gibson P-90.

Try posting this in the "Miscellaneous and Non Fender items section". You will get a lot more hits.

Epi-295's are great! I've been rocking one for about 12 years now

Got a Epi WildKat small hollow body, chrome doggearred P90s, Bigsby, 319.00 out the door with tax and shipping.

It sounds a might dark, so I run both PUs and roll the neck back aboout 20% and it sounds great. IMHO it doesn't jangle like a Gretsch.

In the end I like it a lot.

Check out the Washburn HB-15C.

It's a one-pickup guitar modeled after the ES-125, but you can easily install a set of dog-ear P90s, a 3-way switch, and a Bigsby.

I have two of these. The necks are a nice round late-50's Gibson carve. The frets are jumbos. Hardware, tuners, and bridge are very good. Fit and finish are superb for a $375 guitar.

One I left bone stock. The other I installed a bridge humbucker and a 3-way switch. It's a killer way to get the old-school vibe with modern equipment for well under $500.
