Hey if you get bored, here's a video I did for an Organ Forum that demonstrates the features of a Hammond RT-2 Organ Console. I know some of you are already familiar with the old Hammonds but some of you might get a kick out it.

This is my rescue Hammond and it's about 90% working now. I still need to fix the Pedal Solo Unit.

Love the old Hammonds. Cool! Good job.

My old childhood chum and bandmate, Charlie, for many years was a B-3 player. His parents died in an accident and he lived with his single aunt, who adored him. He got his B-3 when he was 14-15 years old, probably paid for with insurance money, and we held band practice in his basement. Before that, Charlie played accordion since he was probably 6 years old. He was like our Garth Hudson and he knew music theory better than most. He taught me a ton. All on that B-3. I've got one of those XB3 keyboards in my studio. I'd love to have a real Hammond and Leslie setup.

I recently picked up a Hammond M-3 that had been In a storage unit. I got it for $50! Works fine, definitely needed oiled. Nothing sounds quite like these old drawbar organs. I'm working on some organ Blues riff books now, and having a lot of fun!

I fixed the Pedal Solo Unit, here's a video about that repair in case anybody is interested. The Pedal Solo Unit adds bright (reed) tones into the bass pedals which makes them easier to hear.
