To play slide on a Squire do I need a special set-up?
Does the wammie bar really through the guitar out of tune?
Any Ideas on great electric slide lessons?

For slide guitar you need to get the actionsraised.
Generally speaking yes a whammy bar can put the guitar out of tune but with quality parts and proper set up there should not be an issue.
For lessons look on You Tube

Since this isn't a gear review, this topic probably belongs in the "Miscellaneous..." or the "Guitar Mods...." section. I'm sure it would get much more activity there.

You could always get a lap steel for slide and use your Squire for normal fretted play.
