Spotted a Crafted in Japan Strat with a sticker on the back of the headstock that says "Chinaman's Hat."

Anybody know what that's about? Never heard of such a thing, not that I'm an expert on Japanese strats....

Ok, got a clarification from the guy, and there is a sticker on the back of the headstock that says "Photo Flame" and somehow either this guitar or maybe just the neck was referred to as the "Chinaman's Hat" version and is somewhat collectable. There is no sticker that says "CH."

Are we all clear now? Good, explain it to me!

These Japanese strats are interesting to me, but there is an awful lot I don't know about them.

That sticker might say "Foto Flame" (with an F, not a P). Can't tell for the crappy pic.

I had an opportunity in 96 to get a fotoflame strat. I think I should have picked it that day instead of my black AMSTD, which has been a troublemaker for years till I got it sorted.
