Well, this is how it started. There was a Jam scheduled that got cancelled. I asked Mrs Zen if we could possibly try and do a Jam in place of it and she said lets give it a try!

10 years later and it's been a blast to meet so many great players that have become great friends!Thank You All!

With that said this is the last FDP Jam I will host! Its time for me to quit hogging the action LOL.

All dates between June and July will be open for consideration to get the most players to attend.

Thanks

I think that I've had the pleasure of attending all the zenland-hosted events, and I can't imagine a better or more hospitable host (and that includes his lovely wife, Linda) Once upon a time, I made the mistake of asking about having an Atlanta jam and found out that makes you the planner. But Ken stepped up and did ALL the heavy lifting for my first one, and he's been hitting home runs since then.

I, too, have met some great friends....and great players...attending zenland's jam. Still waiting to physically meet one of my FDP heroes...Darth Peegoo...but maybe he can make this one.

Thank you, Ken, for your kindness, dedication and friendship all these years. You have earned a rest, and wild horses won't keep me away.

End of an era...sorry to hear of the decision but also not surprised. I regret not being at the last one, but was always appreciative of the work and effort put in to all the jams.

All good things have to come to an end and it was a great run. Age and circumstance has cost me attendance at some of the jams but I always enjoyed the times I did manage to attend. I Will miss seeing all the great folks that frequented those great times.

So many thanks to Ken and Linda that were such wonderful hosts, as well as all the others that supported and attended over the years. Blessings to all...I will work hard to make a showing for the last one... ;)

No...you are "the" shining negative example. The rest of us can only hope to reflect some of your warped brilliance. 😜

Gonna hold you to your promise!!!

End of an era for sure! Still bummed I missed the last. Haven't been right since!

I plan on attending, but won't know for sure until a date is set. June 24 weekend is definitely out for me. Mrs. Mullens and I will be celebrating out 10 year anniversary, and I don't think us celebrating at the jam would be a her idea of a romantic weekend. LOL

I don't know how many I've made or missed, but every one I made was completely enjoyable! Thanks again to Zen and Mrs. Zen!!! If I lived in ATL area and had enough room, I'd try to keep it going; there's a good chance I'll live there in a few years, but we'll probably downsize.
Meanwhile, looking forward to this one and seeing everyone again. And hoping Peegoo is able to make it!

OK-How does June 18th or June 25th work out for everyone?
First song to be played will be "I'd Love to Change the World" by none other than 10 Years After!

Far as I can tell at this point, the 18th looks quite good, and the 25th would likely be okay as well. Sure would like to make this one for certain.

"OK-How does June 18th or June 25th work out for everyone?"

mistermullens said earlier that the weekend of the 24th was out for him. At this point, I'm good for either date.

The date is June 18th 2016! Sounds like it's a winner! Peegoo, you, mojo and busta are the players for the first tune on guitars! Sparks will be flying!👊

It has been brought to my attention that this is Father's Day weekend. Not sure if you guys were aware of that. Odds are, I won't make it that weekend either. Damn, I'm gonna have to miss another one.
