Another one for the books! Clamfest is the gold standard for jams. Everyone played great and sang their hearts out. 'Twas wonderful to see old friends and make new ones as always. Thanks Pete and G-man for getting all the ducks (and clams) lined up.

The drive back to Murdaland was uneventful :o)

I am so glad we do get these events to get together. Otherwise I might never see any of you

special thanks to those who drove many a mile to be there. And the OTL horns for putting up with many a changes and the bit off transcriptions. You guys ROCK!~

And to Gary Evan and Geno who built the books at the picnic table of the OTL so we would have them in set order in time for kickoff

I hope the new faces had a great time and will want to join the mayhem that is Clamfest

puddles is exhausted- happy as hell but exhausted. She made one more and we are hoping for a couple more ;)

thanks everyone

What a good time yesterday was. Friends and music. Thanks go out to everyone for bringing gear, setting up, arranging set lists, playing and singing the tunes. I got a good night's sleep so I'm gonna ramble on the thank you's.

#1 co-conspirator Gman puts a major effort into Clamfest and really makes the day run smooth. A real highlight for me (and there were many) was him singing Tom Jone's "She's A Lady" Killer. clamFest ain't no normal guitar jam.

Quackjack and his buddy brought some serious guitar playing. Kid Charlemagne was great!

Knothead Matt was all smiles singing In The Midnight Hour with a horn section behind him. He was giddy. It was Leon's first tune of the day and he laid down a thumping bass line.

Grizbear arrived first, unloaded a van load of gear, set up, played all day and was one of the last to leave after breaking down the stage. You are a great friend and top notch drummer.

Jeff Bev took the stage for a few and delivered. Sorry if you missed any waves.

Peegoo How much fun can one guy create? To all in FDPland, put it on your bucket list to play someday with Geno. Smiles and memories for a lifetime.

Shirlene and her son Drew came late but made up for it during the second half. Talented and fun people to play with.

Kevin D use to know it, well he still does. Great vocals all day, seriously good voice.

Andy Tiller and wife Daphne made it a great day too. Playing and hanging out. Good times

Deepend and son Michael always great to see you guys.

Lots more to thank and acknowledge. Props to all! I don't know yet about the fall jam until my picnic calendar gets finalized. But it's probably going to be a Sunday in mid October and we can do this again.

Thanks my friends! Keep on pluckin'

I forgot to mention the great sound engineering expertise of Johnny Socko. With the help of the various roadies who show up every year to help set up before playing we got a major sound system in. 2 boards, 8 monitors, 4 mains, dressed wiring (so Peegoo and I dont trip when we bounce around) and full sound check

You may not have know this but the main PA was DOA and he and I did some sleuthing and got it back up and running in time for the first notes....

Good thing you got the PA resuscitated. You know the guitar players aren't gonna turn down.

so I had my fitbit thingie on yesterday at Clamfest.

For not moving any great distances I logged 12,879 steps just from the stage, to the beer and to the bathroom to return the beer

so the postulate that Clamfest is healthy for you despite the beer, bacon and crumb cake is proven. Those are just fuel for the cardio Clamfest brings

This has been a Public Service announcement....

12,879 steps? Wow.

Keeping in mind that a hiking step is usually longer than a musician step, it's about 10,000 steps to go five miles.

So that's how you stay in shape!

Well, well Clammer-Jammers...ANOTHER great jam. Thanks to "Picnic and crew" for a job well done. Gman, you are too good to us. We're lucky to have you as chief organizer. From "list of love" to the opening song of the day. Do you ever sleep?
Good to see old and new faces. Peegoo wore my favorite hat...not sure if it was 10 or maybe 7 1/2 gallon, but it was worn with pride. Always have a good time with Geno! Wrnchbndr brought his latest creation, his first double Bass-case, always good when he's in the crowd. Although we had some cancellations, there were plenty of pickers, singers and talent. I do have to give Grizbear his propers as he was the solo drummer for the day after 3 other "skin-beaters had to drop out. Shirlene's son Drew and I did as much relief drumming as we could, but Griz handled the majority of the timekeeping. I figure I'll hear from him in a few days after he wakes from a long well earned rest (or coma!). Players new and old really stepped up and brought their best chops to the jam. JohnnyS, Wrxplayer, Tiller2, KnotheadMatt, Quack...all had great tunes and a ton of cool sounds. Since I wasn't even supposed to be around for this jam,I was happy to be there as witness. I know I held my own in the "Jam-Ho" competition, jumping in wherever I saw a spot...even if I only imagined it...LOL.
Post your pix everyone...and I hope those who recorded some stuff will share too.

Best to all and I hope to see ya in the Fall.

Just checking in, I survived another Clamfest!

Yes, when I got home I was exhausted; it is a WONDERFUL feeling. A great time for sure.

Pete: just for the record, you are the only person who has ever told me to play LOUDER. Will miracles never cease!

Thank You ALL, for a fantastic time.
