I've always liked the looks of the Bo Diddly Thunderbird.

The White Penguin treatment looks GOOD on that.

I've got an oddball Gretsch. It's a "Synchromatic." a remnant of the company's first, brief and failed attempt to produce inexpensive guitars in Asia. It's a cheap guitar, but it's huge fun to play. I upgraded the pickups, so it's sound pretty sweet, too.

It's a keeper

That's a looker! Those cheepie Synchros with the bolt-on necks are really good guitars. Like the MIK Danelectros from the 90s and early 2000s, they are way more guitar than the price would have you believe.

I'm down to just three Gretsch guitars now, one G5422T Electromatic in Natural, and two Professional Series guitars, including a G6122-12 String in Natural and a G6128T-1962 in Vintage White.

Here's my 5422T, great guitar. I replaced the silver pickguard and pickup surrounds with gold ones. I thought that looked better than the stock pieces.
