When I sin

As usual, not suitable for people who like normal, soothing sounds that aren't somewhere south of Einst├╝rzende Neubauten.

I also went with the crazy idea that songs that were gathered from the sessions (going over several months) shouldn't be split into volumes.

So like no sane person, I released a 6h40m-ish minute album. There won't be physical copies, I give it away as always, and I expect almost zero interest here past "oh, it's reverendrob, we better be nice" (the latter being why I don't post much if at all on my material).

But with no further self-deprecating abuse...

All recorded in my home studio, much of it live. All downloads 24 bit FLAC.

Rise, children of winter! (free download/streaming/whatever)

Just started listening to Telephone man. I am definitely not normal, and I dig this. Bizarre is good. I find it interesting. I will have to listen through this... over time of course :-)

I'd say one of your more tonal (as opposed to atonal) pieces, Rev. Some interesting counter point between the echoes and upper registers. Listenable.

Sinister sounds of the season! I love that full on audio destruction fuzz you have on that one guitar track. The panning is cool too.

The almost "hopeful" melody towards the end quickly falls back into the abyss of noise.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, at 5 hours 32 minutes and 18 seconds isn't that B supposed to be a C :-)
I like it so far, kind of sounds like a Shawn Lane song played real slow.

No, it's an implied C, with an atonal tonic. :)

And thanks folks. I do my thing and follow my muse, it hasn't gotten me mugged in a dark alley yet!

No need for them these days.

For what I do, they'd just get in the way.

This would be a great soundtrack for a film about...well, let's just say it's not geared toward a romantic comedy :o)

NICE stuff!

Thanks, although I am the perfect soundtrack for romantic comedies...

...that involve dismemberment, abuse, and industrial parks!

Some real 'earworms' there Rob.

I'm sure you won't relish the comparison but the first track reminded me of Fripp (No Pussyfooting/Evening Star/League of Gentlemen) but I don't get out much.

Very impressed with the sound quality - no digital 'clag'. Maybe things have moved on in the last 15 years.

Love the 'distortion on the edge of dying' effect.

It happens, my inner League evildoer comes out occasionally (have the tuning saved in my GR55's user bank).

Things have, and I've also done recording for longer than I've been playing - knowing the limits of the DAC and what to mix where is a huge thing.

I also have the luxury of being able to record 24 tracks at a time incoming (so I can focus on the mix later, although at this point I don't have to much given I've got my standard settings saved as templates in Tracktion).

Considering the album is almost seven hours long, you've got a while for it to happen. :)

Well the few minutes I listened to so far went by very sweetly.

Very understandable.
