I'm playing a Taylor 210e DLX unplugged at home and would like to know what everyone thinks the best amp would be to purchase for home use.

I tried plugging it into my blues Jr and that won't get it lol!

I've got a Genz Benz and love it. They are not made anymore, so you would have to find one used.

The smaller ones are pretty reasonable. Look for the Shenandoah series.

Thanks, I'll look into it. Looked at a few from Sweetwater yesterday also. This one caught my eye...

Check the Fishman Loudbox Mini thread in this forum. A lot of folks like 'em.

Foggy, I tried a Marshall once and it sounded terrible. However, with Sweetwater you can send it back if you don't like it.

I've got a Fishman loudbox and I love it. It's a few years old now, so there may be better options out there now.

I've owned the Genz Benz Shenandoah 150 LT and the Fishman Loudbox Artist Pro. The Amp that sounds best (to my ear) is the Roland AC 60 Stereo chorus. It (along with the AC 90) has a subwoofer out jack. I run that to a 10" 100 watt Polk Audio (front firing) powered sub. The tone is very warm and full. I use K&K pure-mini pups.

I bought one of these after trying a number of big name acoustic amps and thought this was the best. They can be picked up used for a couple of bills. Plenty of power, Made In USA, 3 channels, XLR out, very gig-worthy. And the answer is:

Crate 125D

I see that an amp decision has been made, but for anyone on a limited budget looking for small inexpensive acoustic amp....

Crate Cimarron CA15. Very affordable, esp purchased used. This amp isn't for the purists who are willing to spend more, but it gets the job done very nicely for home and/or playing small rooms.

Note--IMO it's not a good monitor. It sounds better if you give it some distance.

I have a Fishman Loudbox 100 which is great.
Crate also makes a good acoustic amp.
There are lots of good acoustic amps out there and some are pretty inexpensive.

Read my post about this amp. Current sales flyers (available on the MCM site) have this amp at $120 again.

Stellar Labs powered monitor.
