Well, it's a new amp for me. Went to a friend's warehouse and one of his coworkers had it to to the side. Coworker retiring and moving to a small place down south.

Just getting familiar with it and would love to get feedback (so to speak) on ways to use it, settings, etc.

I had one for a while some time ago; nice amp. Kind of like a little Boogie!

Reviving this thread from early 2017......

I need another amp like I need a hole in my head, but a used Rivera 55-12 has unfortunately caught my attention, partly due to what I feel is a fair price.

Opinions on this model?
Opinions on Riveras in general? It seems that they are not discussed as much as other models around here.
Is that because of cost?
Availability?
Reliability?
Or something else?

Thanks in advance.

I had a Rivera Chubster 40 for a decade. Great amp! I sold it to my SIL, so if I ever want it back...

I know Mike Keneally used the big brother 100-212 for many years. He may still. That's a pretty darn good endorsement.

Love mine and glad I bought it. You can do your own research, of course, but I like that I can switch between a very clean blackface sound to a Marshall sound quickly. Here’s a link to the manual that I found online.

Wow, you can get one of those for a steal! Looks like a pretty cool amp. I recently got a pretty good deal on a RedPlate head, which is a fantastic amp but had I known about the Riveras I may have chosen one those and saved a lot. Enjoy!
