Having some old pickups laying around, and not registering on *my* meter, I sent them off to SD to repair/rewind and tell me what they were. Yesterday I got all 3 back. They said 1 was scooped, but not SD. The other 2 were SD's: STL-2 & (Antiquity?) Texas Hot. I've had them awhile, but don't remember much of why I bought them.

Anyone used/had either of them?

Ok, I can be helpful after all...

I had an Antiquity Texas Hot (bridge) in a strat for quite a while. It was a nice sounding pickup.
It was high output, but I needed it to balance with a hot P-90 I had in the neck. (it was a 2 pup partscaster)

I only pulled it out & sold it because I was living in a house with horrible power and changed over to noiseless/noise-reduced pickups.

I have played any SD tele pickups, so can't comment on the STL-2.

Also, what do mean by "They said 1 was scooped"??

Sorry if I was a smart-arse earlier :^)

The plastic pickup box had a label on it with 'Scooped' written on it. Thinking it was a SD (wasn't) I looked it up on their site. Description says clear highs and deep lows (sans mids).

Tho' it's not SD's, it probably still fills the description.

After coming back and reading the original post even if I was drunk it would've been better than that.
