Believe it or not, I'm in exactly the same situation. I'd like a cover for my MIII, but I'm not prepared to pay £40 + postage.

Is it just me, or are all amp covers overpriced, for what is fundamentally a small amount of cheap material, and very little labour costs?

Shipping it to Canada from the states won't be cheap.

It won't be $30, but it will likely be half of that.

You're also assuming that somebody will go, get it, and ship it.

Pain in the butt to be honest.

Sometimes you just gots to pay...

Living on an island continent below the equator, more than once I've had to pay more for postage than the cost of the item (usually electronic parts).

I am by no way overflowing with cash either.
You just suck it up and move on...

Is there a seamstress in your village? Take your amp in with some fabric and ask her to do a custom cover for your amp.

When it rains I use a black plastic trash sack for my Champion 40.

I would buy a proper cover if Fender had one.

I just received this cover for my Champion 40 yesterday. I have these made for all my amps.

They're made from heavy duty padded nylon fabric and the "ribs" on the front have coreflute sewn in for added protection of the control panel and speaker.

edit - correct typo, and add:

These are hand-made here in AUS! Would probably still be worth the int'l shipping to US with the current exchange rate. (this cover would have been $49US + postasge?)

Why more amp cover makers don't add foam core padding to the speaker side is odd. I'd happily pay extra for that feature.

And yeah, I DO know it's expensive to mail stuff to the Land of Oz :o)

I finally got a MIII amp cover. Was on back order from a dealer in Canada for months. Fits great though and glad I waited it out.

You can also go to Fender's official company website and order amplifiers covers from there. However , to get free shipping you need to place a minimum order of $50.

They order directly from Fender. About $25 bucks.
