Hello Folks,

I am building a tele which I want to have vintage style hardware, I haven't yet received the neck, I can only say I ordered one from MF, it's a tele mim standard/rosewood 9.5 radius with mj frets.

The tuner holes will be pre-drilled most likely for modern tuners, can someone recommenced a vintage style tuner set with inserts and string tree?

Yes.

But I doubt you'll find a set that includes the tree.

I got some bushings from Stewmac. The ones that come with the hardware are too small. The vintage bushing set will do it.

My tele, (granted, it is from the '90s) came with the holes drilled to the smaller (11/32") size. I had to widen them (to 13/32") to fit a set of Gotoh tuners. I've always assumed that they still come with the small holes, don't know for sure.

Are your prayer beads maple or rosewood?

The MF listing for the Maple Tele neck says:

"6 Pre-Drilled Tuning Machine Holes with 2-Guide Pin Holes for Each Tuning Machine".
So, you could get the Kluson style, but yes, you'd probably need the conversion bushings, and you'd have extra holes in the headstock.
OR you could get the proper fitting 2 pin kind: The Stratosphere on Ebay has locking tuner sets with the 2-pin for $42...or Kluson modern "square" non-locking tuners for the same price. Just depends on what you want 'the look' to be. Search "Fender 2-pin tuners".
Either way you decide to go, wait and get the exact width of the tuner holes so you know what to buy! 10mm is the smallest. And it goes up from there!

When looking at fender tuning machines in the past, 10mm was always the larger size for aftermarket products. A quick look around seems to suggest that that hasn't changed. ?

Here is chart showing all sizes available from Warmoth:
