Have you tried a Baja Telecaster? Very nicely made, sounds great, and definitely a juicy neck (as in "beefy"). Not sure what the 50s classic player strat neck is like, so can't compare. But they are also very affordable.

You will want to see if you can find one of these. I have 5 Tele's but this is the only one I quick grab as I'm heading out the door to jam or gig.

The minihumbucker in the neck position is an improvement over the standard single coil. You can get some serious drive but still get a good clean chicken pick out of the bridge pickup for country.

The body is hefty and the neck has a good chunky feel.

I think they ran a custom run a couple years back that has been discontinued. The were about $1.6k new back in the day. If you can pick one up used for the $1k range you should jump on it.

" I want a cabronita with a nice juicy neck. Suggestions?"

Um, a Cabronita?

I love my Thinline Cab - and it does have a nice, full neck. One of my favorites.

Actually I love the baja specs and love the thinline cabronita I sampled. I just dont wanna put out the money and buy one and have to sell or trade it. I had a Squier CV 60s that was phenomenal to me but the neck didnt vibe after the honeymoon. Might have been a narrow nut.

Honestly reverendrob has scared me. Haha...but true.

Dont wanna spend money on a puny neck guitar.

Want a tele that feels like a v neck strat orceven better like an sg.

My apologies if this is not clear. I have had a few beverages.

Actually I cant afford a new guitar anytime soon. So this is all just for future reference. I do need a tele bad though. I am an oxymoron

I cannot answer any of these questions but I just picked up a parts tele with a rounded c profile and a 12 inch radius... I say it is a D profile, nice and round, huge compared to any of my strats.

I am getting used to it and pretty much have not put it down since I got it a week ago. Wifey still doesn't know or realize I have a new guitar ;) if feel a disagreement coming.

I bought a Baja Tele off ebay yesterday, $525 w/gigbag and I am just so excited I do declare I may pee myself!

I did happen to sell one of my American strats to fund it though. These telecasters are incredible guitars!

I wanted to get the rosewood/alder version but I just cant see paying the extra money (at least the ebay listings are around 150-200 more for some reason... There were and may still be a gold sparkle one on ebay that really turns me on.

After an hour of playing this Baja I am going to say the neck is a tad chunky and the V profile makes it incredible to hold and play. I am going to replace my parts tele neck with one of these.

The guitar is what I consider heavy but the Ash is really pretty, it looks like one piece of wood but I doubt it. Never putting this one down!!! Awesome value, great tone!!!

You've been around here long enough to know we need photographic evidence...
pics or didn't happen!

Sometimes the grain matching is *so* good, it's hard to see. I've had a couple of guitars that gave the appearance of one piece.

Congrats on the acquisition!

Man that baja looks perfect. Sounds like the neck might be a lot like my 50s classic player strat. My favorite. Too bad I am broke now. Someday

I know.. I will never shut up and just wanted to add that there are no upgrades that would make this Baja better than it is so I ordered me a Genuine Fender leather guitar strap..

What I really wanted to say is that I came really close to buying a Gold Sparkle one on e a couple days ago, im glad someone else bought it, no way I could explain that to my lovely wife. So I am going to sell another strat and get one later. Got to have a few of them.
