AB763 schedmatic shows a 1A, back panel on amp says 2A Slo-Blo. Its an early one made in 67. Did the Blackface all have 1A ? Did CBS change them to 2A later on?

My memory is fuzzy on this and someone who knows the details will may join in to clear this up. But I think the move from 1A to 2A occurred during the BF era because 1A was too low and there were nuisance failures.

IIRC, some BFDRs have a "2" sticker over the "1" so they could keep using the original back panel.

Use a 2A slo-blo if you don't want to be inconvenienced by unnecessary blown fuses.

The 2 amp slo-blo (always liked that term slo-blo) is the correct fuse. The schematic was changed with the AA868 version to show the 2A fuse.

There was a 2A in the Amp, I was just wondering why the schematic called for a 1A and the Amp had 2A silk screened on the back panel. Thanks for setting things straight about this. Lot of crazy things happened back then.

I would think that 1A would blow often.
