"I bought this one on the cheap from Stratosphere. I had to do some tweaking on the pickup route but they're not stock."

Did the screw holes basically line up?

Hey Mike, it's a red tort. I also replaced the body with a 60's RI Lacquer body, but if I recall the screws were the same.

Would you believe I never knew they considered these to be two distinct colors? I see they have both for the same $10, for that price you can order one of each and decide in real time.

Pretty is in the eyes of the beholder. Lot of red ones look like pepperoni.

So true, lot of brown ones look like poop. LOL

Seriously I have seen good and bad examples in both. Red Tort from WD Music on the Olympic white Jazz bass I had looked very good. Others not so much and by the same token, when I put a 2011 Highway one neck on my Fender MIM Natural Ash Jazz bass I removed a dull looking brown tort and installed the Fender brown tort for a heal adjust neck (Fender American Standard) looks really good. I like the more reddish brown and not the really red ones.

I like brown with Sunburst, red with Olympic white.

My pickguard came today. I ordered brown, I think I got red. But in any event, I like the parchment one it came with more.

Anyone wanna give me $15 shipped for it?

Picture of the guard in question.

This is on the burst jazz, right? I'd give the tort a longer try, burst and RW IMO deserves tort.

Yeah, it's a burst. I guess I'm just not all that thrilled with this particular tort guard.
