Hey guys, Layinglow here, looking forward to jamming, sorry to hear about those not being able to make it, talents will be missed but I like to look at the glass half full and I see more bacon, beer, and cake for the rest of us,,lol. Praying for nice weather. I'm new so I'm not sure if this is the place for this but I have a few suggestions if we need alternate songs,

guys
too many blank slots on the list
I highlighted a bunch of songs that need some love or you wont be able to pull them off

you can hope to fill them or drop em day of if you cant field a team but that means someone might have practiced a song that wont be played

I suggest you try to fill them or replace them rather than hope people step up day of

but thats your call....

I have some friends coming who can fill in on some songs that have minimal signups. If some suggestions are made, there's no problem giving an alternate tune a chance.

Don't by shy. Sign up today

Just Checking In; from the Wood Shed!

According to my notes,(and my standards)the "Essentials" of Clamfest have been covered.

Not only do we have "Music"; we have a "B-3" (Thank You K-9), "Bacon","Beer", and "Crumb-Cake" (Thank You Jerry) This is my Idea of Heaven.

Now! Regarding the "Song List"; If you were not aware, "Littlehand" (AKA Bigfoot) is preparing the Song Board for posting at OTL. I highly recommend that all would be participants sign up as soon as possible to eliminate any possibility of a problem. Even though Mom likes him best, "Littlehand" has been known to "complicate" certain issues at times. Believe me, I know my brother!!! So sign up early.

Besides! "G-Man" is the ultimate "Guardian of the List", there is no comparison.

The voices in my head want to celebrate "Labor Day", got to go!

Gerry, our cake baking, earth quaking, hip shaking, leaf raking, candy taking, head faking, love making, stake out staking and baby waking drummer will be here to help with the drum chores.

He's also bringing crumb cake so any of you on the fence, Gerry's crumb cake makes the drive worth the effort.

Kids, if we don't start getting our collective sh$% together on this list, I foresee a massive trainwreck coming our way. We need to cut some songs, especially ones that feature horns, and sub in some other easy, jam-friendly songs for the cuts and the songs that aren't getting filled in. And we need to do it quickly. We are one month out.

K-9; Thank You for pointing that out. As a drummer, and a Royal P.I.T.A. (Pain in the A$$) here is my two cents. You are 100% right, we don't have the time to fool around. Let's look at the List.

Right now G-Man has eleven (11) songs high-lighted, that are on the chopping block; nine (9) without any guitar love.

At this point, do we cut these eleven songs; and bring up the next eleven songs on the List of Love, and hope for the best. Or create 11 new song suggestions. This is "OUR" decision. We can't and shouldn't leave it up to G-Man.

As a drummer, my musical tastes are different. To be honest, most of my song suggestions either didn't get enough votes to make the final L.O.L or got no guitar love at "Pick" time. FYI, my first five picks were "Wild Cards", the rest of the song picks were based on the amount of players that already picked that song. I also broke my own self cap (15) rule.

I know that we are going to get some walk-ins, but we can't expect them to fill the card. We also can't depend on a dozen last minute "Audible" picks, if we scratch the songs.

Like Joe said, this could be a real train wreck!!!

The voices in my head ALL agree!

@ my fellow participants for "Into the Mystic"

If you were worried about not having a horn section for this song; Please check out the "Allman Brothers" version on you tube. There are some interesting ideas there.

If I could figure out how to do a link, I would have; with the medications I am taking for the "Voices in my Head", I'm lucky I still remember how to type !!!!!!

Hey all, I keep looking at the list and I'm wondering if I should put effort into some of these songs. I'm on two " horn" songs, smooth and signed sealed and delivered. My opinion is they will fall flat without the horns. Also I'm on two songs all alone, uncle John's band and we got to get out of this place. I'm down for still playing them but if they are not going to happen I'd rather spend my efforts elsewhere.
