I'm thinking about doing a 5 way "blender" circuit on one of my Strats....master volume, master tone, and blender knob. Could get bridge and neck pickup together, etc. Any disadvantages to doing this?

Something like this....5 way Strat Blender Wiring Demo

Only dis-advantage would be losing the dedicated tone control for a single p/up.

I use it on both my strats and find it more useful than the dedicated tone control for a single p/up. So I like it.

Just be sure to use the right potentiometer.

I thought this thread might've got more traction, but anyway...

I prefer a mini toggle to give me the extra 2 options. Then I still have bith tone controls. However I always mod the lower control (T2) for tone for the bridge pickup.

I know you're interested in blending, but if nothing else, maybe bumping this post will yield more on what you want. :^)
