Rob - I have some modeling and SS amps too (Mustang III ver 2, Boss Katana 50 & G-DEC 3 Thirty).

I have a lot of FX pedals, but probably not "enough effects to kill a UPS guy." (:oD

Yeah, those are some nice noise-makers - "retirement buddies," as it were. (;^)

Nice collection!
I have been selling my collection down to the point that I'm now down to a Princeton Reverb RI, a solid state Mustang III, and a TC Electronic RH 450 bass head. Half the time, when recording, I plug the bass straight into the recorder.

FYI - I retired early at age 61. Thank God I was able to do this from a financial perspective and had started planning the year before.

I spend most of my time playing guitar, writing songs, recording and practicing with my band.

I'm down to one. My Jet City Custom 5/2 head. I resisted the Marshall DSL 40C.

So far.

BF66Prince - Very nice collection, please post some photos if possible.

I don't like the DRRI, at least based on past experiences playing through them. I wouldn't mind getting a silver face Deluxe Reverb, assuming I liked the sound.

Cool amps - I'm on board with the:

1)Vox AC4C1-BL
2) Fender Blues Jr. Limited Ed. Tweed

Love em both. Also, my PRRi & Marshall Class 5 push through a 2x12 Greenback can sounds great too.

Oh, can't forget my Gibson GA5 & Goldtone GA15-RV, great amps too.

Tube amp guys are sick!!

If you're not fond of the DRRI, Mr. Strats, you probably won't love the SF stuff either.

I like guitars and amps

I seem to have an affinity for blonde tolex. Amps here in NJ
Mesa Lonestar Special
Fargen Blackbird 30
Peavey Classic 30
All blonde or tan tolex.

I have another blonde C30 down in Florida with the ugly (but great sounding) Fender Mustang III in black.

Hey 5Strats - your retirement sounds like my ideal dream.
I'm 70 and can retire now but fortunately I really still enjoy my Job but at some point the pull of guitars and bass fishing will be too much to resist.
Love that Vox AC-4, killer litte amp.
Rock On !

Thanks! If you love your job, I wouldn't retire either.

My retirement felt like a nightmare for about 5 months (dark depression and high stress), but now it's glorious.
