Mick, It's really all Les Paul in terms of wood.

Mahogany body and neck, Brazilian Rosewood fret board. Les Paul controls with SD alnico 2 PUPs, Stainless Steel frets.

Side Story:
It came about because Queenie was watching country music videos one Sunday morning and saw a Brad Paisley video. He was playing a green telecaster. Queenie looks at me and says, "Honey you don't have a green guitar". Green is her favorite color.

About a week later we had company over for dinner and somehow the topic of guitars came up. I looked at Queenie and said, "Hmmm it seems like I might have been given permission to build a green guitar". She responded, "I guess you were".

Can you say, "Take full advantage of that offer"?

I once had a very, very nice Les Paul, but didn't like the feel of the body ... so I sold it.

Since Brad Paisley plays Telecasters this new guitar had to be a Telecaster, but I was thinking a Les Paul that felt better to me ... so in all other ways it's more of a Les Paul. Hence the name, Tele Paul.

There's a thread here on the FDP from when it was built.

OK, back to your regularly scheduled programing ... I'm feeling a certain sickness setting in here.

Tele Paul

A few years ago I ordered a P-Bass body in Surf Green. What I got was Seafoam Green. They wouldn't take it back. They insisted that the body I received was Surf Green. It was not. I have not dealt with them lately. I have ordered necks from them in the past without any problems.

Never tried a set of those, but I suspect they would work well for me.

"Anti-bacterial multi surface household cleaner?"

Mark, gimme some credit. I brush and floss regularly!

Truth be told, I always use Simple Green on guitars before I take the gloves off.

Update!!!
Warmoth says UPS is on it's way with my Showcase body! :)
Blue dye over flame maple.
I was looking for 3 things:
Forearm contour, rear routed control panel (you gotta show off all the grain!), and a dyed finish that wasn’t necessarily a burst.
Since it’s a chambered body it should weigh nearly nothing! I only exceeded my budget by $21...almost bought a blue with quilt maple but it had the standard Tele control plate...

Will stick my MIJ '62 Reissue neck on it for now, and then get a Warmoth neck early next year. Probably: Maple with dark rosewood and MOP dots, black headstock (maybe?) and vintage tint.

Long wait from Washington state to the East Coast! ETA Nov. 28th! AhhhhHHHHH!H!!! :)

Nice. Knobs with abalone top inlays?

Like these from Stewmac:

"Maple/maple neck right???"

Nope. Rosewood...kinda like this FMT HH but with chrome hardware and no neck pickup.

I like the '62 reissue with the rosewood, so I'm using that as inspiration. I have a '52 reissue already, so I got the maple thing covered.

Some random tele picture.

Oh c'mon.

A red MOTO pickguard would not make the guitar look better, but it certainly would match your personality!

mroulier, that one should turn out wonderful.

Maybe I should show Queenie ... She might say, "Honey you don't have a blue guitar".

Sadly, I'm not counting on it ;)

Looks great. I'll be watching to see how it turns out.
