I have a high spec'd pair of wired headphones. I would like to connect to my home theatre receiver via Bluetooth. I need some type of transmitter/ receiver combination I'm assuming transmitter will plug into headphones output and send signal to the remote receiver that my cans will plug into. Seems like this should be possible today.
Any ideas?

Amazon has these units for very cheap. You'll need a Tx and an Rx unit. Some can do both, so you can buy two identical units.

I have one that I tend to use in the bedroom to put a bluetooth speaker closer to the bed for late night watching.

There are many to choose from. I have this:

Bluetooth 4.1 Transmitter / Receiver
