Anyone still using one?
I was messing around with mine a little last night. Still enjoyable, decent guitar and backing track tone (I was thinking anyway).
I was always going to convert my CD backing tracks to be able to access via SD on my G-DEC.
Sounds like a winter project in the coming months.
Has anyone done this?
Did you think it was worth the effort?
Thanks

Any of you ever get or use the 4 button footswitch on your G-DEC?
It looks like these are made more for the Mustang series than G-DEC, but it also looks like this is the one used for the G-DEC's.
These seem like enough function is available for the $50 price tag.

I still use mine for practice and recording at least some of the time. I have some nice tones dialed in.
I still love playing to some of the backing tracks, particularly "Cliffs of Dover" by EJ. There's a nice hot rod country backing track by Brad Paisley too. I've NOT downloaded any other tracks or backed them up, etc.
I have the footswitch, but only used it once for a solo performance.

Thanks Mr.5Strats,
Whenever I look at some new gear (saw a video comparing the new Vox, Yamaha and Fender products) I think that I'm not really using the gear that I already have.
The G-DEC 3 was a little short lived and has a lot of features for folks that want to use them.
I think production costs, some issues, less than projected sales, the development of and success of the Mustang series all played a role.
The market life of the digital products isn't that long to begin with either.
Still a very cool device and I'm enjoying spending some time with it again.

I also own a Fender Mustang III combo and a Boss Katana 50 but still use the G-DEC 3 Thirty for home practice.
I own several tube amps too but the only one I use at home is a Marshall DSL40 combo with the power set at 20 watts.

Grey Goose - I just read an interview in Vintage Guitar with Todd Rudgren where he stated that he uses older model Line 6 modeling amps. His favorite is the original Line 6 combo.
Vintage digital is a thing! (:oD

I still have mine but haven’t used it much since I got a Mustang III. I would still love to use the backing tracks as I found them very helpful. I bought the Mustang 4-button switch for it in my order to use the looper and tuner function long before I bought a Mustang.

Yes, mine still gets used.
I put a lot of other jam tracks on the SD card. That was one of my main reasons for buying it originally. I also did get the Footswitch, mainly to use the looper.
