I know the feeling, Texican. I'm only 40 miles from Jerry's Leftie Guitars.

You don't have to live close to Southpaw or Jerry's to get caught up in lefty gas... (see the Guitar Count Thread here...).

LM, get the Katana 50 and you'll get a tap tempo button for delay right on the amp...

This is about the only gear related item that's on my radar.

Mike, the Katana would be my home amp. The Wampler would be for my gig rig.

I'm leaning toward the delay and then keep my eyes open for a used Katana as people start unloading them. The price should be fairly reasonable.

That's a plausible scenario. I've seen a 50 pop up on my local CL recently.

I've seen both 50's and 100's locally here too (if the Twin Cities are "local" for me two hours away). Check Reverb and CL...

Truth is I'd rather have the 100. So if I get the pedal now, I'm hoping to find a 100 on the cheap sometime later.

“Like”

As much as I love my Vypyr, it won’t last forever. The last time I fired it up the footswitch acted a bit flakey and I rebooted the rig to fix it.

I’m pretty sure a used Katana 100 will be its replacement.

But I hate to lose the models I have set up in the Vypyr. The three OD models I use are glorious in their own right. A Marshall, a top-boosted AC30 and a Deluxe Reverb. The trinity of crunchy goodness.

Check this out! Last night, the wife and I had a date night that included a trip to GC to buy my Faux Echo pedal. An hour later, we were eating dinner at a restaurant when I checked FB for an expected reply. In my feed, there was a like-new Faux Echo for sale for $175...a $75 savings. The ad was only 23 minutes old. I had searched for a used one before buying new but couldn't find one.

I just sent him the money and, if all is up to par when it arrives, I'll return the new one.

I like saving $75. :o)

Tired of the fake news and politics. I had really tuned my feed. But stuff still got through.

Plus I don’t like their idea of privacy.

I understand! I too grow tired of the same'o same'o on FB. The only reason I'm still on it is to keep in touch with distant family and friends. I've reconnected with a ton of people through FB and for that I'm grateful.

It became a “noise” issue for me. And I found at lot of people just don’t pay attention to anything but themselves any ways.

The used Faux Echo arrived yesterday and I took it for a test spin before sticking it under the tree. The new one went back to GC today.

I'm really digging this pedal. Now I'll need to A/B the Carbon Copy and GHS Pro Delay to see which one stays on the board as a second delay. The Pro Delay is surprisingly good for a $50 pedal. The CC sometimes is too spacey for my tastes. We'll see!

The Wampler is on the board. The Carbon Copy won out by a slight margin over the GFS Pro Delay as the second delay. The difference was really indiscernible except the Carbon Copy's delay was slightly more...ummm...organic?

I also received $150 in cash so I don't have far to go to save up for the Katana 50. Sweet!
