Just when I say no more guitars, Fender has to come out with this?! Sweetwater doesn't help with its zero percent 36 month financing either. haha!

That *is* sweet!

Did you actually pull the trigger, or just wrestling temptation?

As much I like the look of gold hardware, I've never seen it hold up over time like chrome & nickel.
Hence I don't own any guitars with it.

No, I didn’t buy one yet. But I have a feeling that I’ll end up giving in and getting it sometime in the New Year. The temptation is just too great.

Nice. I'm not one of those who has an aversion to gold hardware and I love fiesta red. I also prefer maple to rosewood (slightly), but think fiesta red pairs better with a rosewood board.

In this case, I like the maple with the Fiesta Red. I don't have a Strat with a soft V so that is appealing to me along with the American Vintage 56 pickups. This could be my Hank Marvin guitar. :)

Nice Strat but would prefer a late 50's style rosewood board. Actually if my 3 current Strats weren't all maple boards this one would temp me.

The temptation is strong for this one. Not sure how long I can hold out. ha! It would really go good with the rest of my collection. I have two Fender Strats with rosewood and one with maple. I also have a Squier maple fretboard strat. All my guitars have something unique about them. I like variety.

Well, I couldn't hold out any longer and ordered it today from Sweetwater. A Christmas present to myself. That'll be my cutoff for a couple of years. I need to pay down my Sweetwater card. Too many zero interest promotions add up. lol.

NICE.

Looks a lot like Hank Marvin's original red Strat...after the Fender CS refurb'd it in the 90's.

The CS did a run of several hundred Hanks too.

There's even the gold hardware.

Got the Strat yesterday. Great looking and playing guitar. The case is nice too. It's my last guitar for awhile and it turned out to be a good choice.

"It's my last guitar for awhile"

Infamous last words around here. :-)

Glad you got a good one, enjoy it.

Same here, I got one of these a few weeks back. Tremendous instrument. This one has a fairly pronounced V neck profile, and the '56 American Vintage pickups have a sparkly old Strat vibe particularly in the 'between' middle positions of the 5-way selector. I think Fender did a great job with this limited run.

With respect to the OP, Sweetwater did sell out. But (as of today) there are still places who have them available. Just checked this morning. Looks like Elderly, ZZounds, American Musical, Sam Ash, GC have some. Also new stock on Ebay.

Personal opinion: really a worthwhile instrument. If you are thinking about it, now may be the time...

I took delivery of one of these limited edition Stratocasters yesterday. I have to say it is one of the finest guitars I have ever owned and I have owned a bunch. Fit, finish, build quality, and playability are all top notch.

Hi everyone. I just noticed my post got more responses. I don't get to look at the forum as much as I'd like to. I have to say that this guitar has become one of my favorites and is perfect as-is. One of the reasons I bought it was to have a strat with a soft V neck. I love the feel of the neck. Like everyone else says. This one is definitely one of Fender's finest.
