Cool but I detect a bit of rubber band sound in the tone of the lower strings. I do think it is a killer instrument however.

What's with that little sound hole in the end of the guitar? Or is that for rain to drip out?
That IS a sweetie of a couch player.

That's a P-hole sir! Yes liquid comes our when you pull the end pin! Ha! I saw that too and wondered why they didn't put the stopper in for the video.

I didn't get an end pin with either of my two Martins. Doesn't bother me as I have no intention of ever using a strap with them.

These small bodies always seem to have a bit of a muted bass side to me.But on the other hand the sound response from that small body just is very snappy and quick to respond. Any new Martin I've ever played was shipped without the strap peg in it. They say it's never supposed to be jammed in tight as the design is to be removable when it's in the case. Evidently they have in the past experienced a lot of splits in the bottom end from guitars being dropped on their butt even in the case.

After 30 years, I should play better.Feb 6th, 2018 07:00 PM Edit Profile
I [stupidly] passed on a 5-28LE (the limited run in the early 2000s prior to this version which was about half the price of the MF version). I put hold deposit on it with right of first refusal.
I really liked it, but we were about $80 away from an agreement (I wanted to have a K&K put in it, and asked them to waive the install fee.)
It was a really great guitar.
