It's an Eric Johnson model. And it's semi-hollow.

Has anybody seen, heard, or played this model? If so, how is it? There was a thread from 2010 or thereabouts asking if anyone had ever seen a thinline Strat. Now there is one.

I like the sound of a Strat, and I like the sound of hollow-body and semi-hollow-body guitars. Is this too good to be true?

I know G & L had a thinline Strat clone.

What do you think about this guitar?

It comes in vintage white or brown 2-color sunburst

Fender is copying Suhr! Outrage! Lawsuit!

Actually, they've made thinline Strats before, but they were always flat-tops, with binding--like the thinline Teles.

Here's the Premier Guitar review video

You know...like so many of these reviews (talking about the Sweetwater one...which many others are guilty of as well...), they spend too much time playing a guitar on high-gain or outright distorted tones. Which tells me very little. When Greg Koch reviews a guitar, not only is the playing stellar, but he's the best (to me) in truly demonstrating the specific tones within an instrument.

If I get the time I'll try the Premier Guitar version. Or look for a Greg video on the EJ Thinline.
