Thanks to the advice given by all those who posted in the "Why do we have different impedances?" thread, especially Tony Wright, I now have a sparkling new Rumble 500 combo.
For the first time I am not playing cautiously through a guitar amp in fear of damaging speakers.
Haven't had an opportunity to turn it up yet but it does sound so good with my MiJ Jaguar bass.
And did anyone mention the weight ?
It is light for its size.
Very pleased so far.
thanks for helping me out.
:)

Yes they are light!
But if you are willing to pay the price, a pair of neos can shave 10 lbs off the weight.

ha! i just got one, too, to play my mij jag through.
i was only kind of looking for a new lightweight combo to replace my bassman 250 2x10 (too heavy and hard to load into my car), but i saw a brand new one at guitar center that was mismarked -- 40% off. took me about a second to make my decision. hoping to try it in a band situation this weekend. sounds great in the living room.

I hope this amp makes you happy for many years.
Really, all I did is what a salesman at a local retail shop should have explained to you if you had asked him. Of course, it that position, I would be trying to convince you that "my inventory" was better than "the other guy's stuff". But if I was an HONEST salesman, I would have shared the facts about the Ohms question, and then expanded that to explain why my stuff was better...
I probably missed my calling.

Took you about a second? Haha! That was the deal of the day right there! Great job Huck.
